Big Ideas, Local Impact: Join Forsyth Forward’s First Small Business Summit

Forsyth Forward is excited to host our very first Small Business Summit, an event designed to bring together the people and organizations shaping the future of business in our community. May 13th, 2026. The event will take place at the Up North Lodge event center at 8:00-9:30 AM.

We are proud to welcome representatives from Michigan Works!, Accelerate UP, Innovate Marquette, InvestUP, and Lake Superior Community Partnership. Each of these organizations plays an important role in supporting entrepreneurs and strengthening our regional economy.

This summit is designed to be both informative and interactive. The event will feature short presentations from each participating organization, as well as from Forsyth Forward and our Small Business Liaisons. These sessions will highlight available resources, current initiatives, and opportunities for those looking to start, grow, or invest in a business.

In addition to presentations, attendees will have time to network, ask questions, and engage directly with speakers during dedicated Q&A sessions. Whether you’re an aspiring business owner, an investor, or already established, this is an opportunity to build meaningful connections and gain valuable insight into what’s happening across Marquette County.

Our goal is to create a space where ideas can be shared, partnerships can form, and people leave feeling more confident in their next steps. And of course, free coffee and food will be available, because great conversations start with a good cup of coffee. We’re looking forward to bringing the community together and making this first summit the start of something impactful for Forsyth Township and beyond.
